The OECD says that there are around 600 million entrepreneurs on the globe, a number which is twice bigger than a few years ago and which will keep increasing exponentially in the next years. Why? Because the world as we know it, and the model it’s been built upon for the past decades, are changing.
The young generations don’t dream of working in the same company for a decade or two as the previous generations did. Schools don’t land you your dream job anymore. In fact, the pace at which the world is changing means that your dream job might not exist anymore a few years from now.
There’s one stable variable, however: more and more people feel like they can do better on their own, relying on their own skills to create opportunities they can handle, at a pace they can live with.
Still, there is a problem. Those who dare to try often end-up being on their own, and struggling one way or another.
As business coaches, we’ve challenged and supported dozens of entrepreneurs in their business journeys. And we’ve come to a couple of conclusions.
One, today’s entrepreneurs lack some business basics. They dream of leaving their 9-5 but begin their entrepreneurial life with the wrong mindsets. Then they struggle. They cope with time and focus on the wrong priorities – when they have priorities, that is. They can’t define their ideal client, they can’t explain their positioning, they can’t write a proper business plan, and they get stuck with pricing wars that eventually kill them.
That could be avoided with some simple, business-proof methodology, but not everybody can afford to spend an arm and a few years at school. Business needs to happen now!
Two, today’s entrepreneurs lack support. Networking is about taking, not giving, and finding people to listen, brainstorm and think business is a challenge. Business coaches are here to help, of course, but how do you do when you can’t afford their services?
As entrepreneurs, we’ve decided to act and reshuffle the cards. When the industry standard has long been a matter of selling business best practices to those who can afford them, we’re on a mission to make them available to those who have so far been left aside.
With Impactified, we see a world in which entrepreneurship will be common, fun and rewarding.
We believe in the values of entrepreneurship, in the power of challenging people, and in the importance of perseverance when it comes to making an impact.
We’re therefore on a mission to help entrepreneurs just like you to gear-up, grow, scale-up and progress, at a price everybody can afford. Because nothing else makes sense.
And you, what impact do you make?
