As 2023 approaches, it is time to take stock of our year 2022.
Despite the hustle and bustle of everyday life, work, private and family life, projects, and passions, have you managed to achieve all the goals you set for yourself? What were the moments of pure happiness, those that made you proud or those that allowed you to accomplish yourself? What was the impact of all these little moments, on you and those around you?
I suggest that you take stock before heading into the new year, to review your successes, your lessons learned, and even your regrets, so that 2023 can live up to your wildest dreams.
Step back to move forward!
Whether your actions were good or bad, whether they were a success or a failure, facing responsibility for them is always an essential factor in the last 11 months.
So, ask yourself the right questions and answer them honestly. What was your ability to confront the difficulties of this year? Are the challenges you have encountered repeating themselves year to year? And if so, what can you do to stop it?
At the same time, what was your share of happiness and your positive contribution to those around you? What was your energy level? Are you satisfied and proud of yourself? What are the positive moments and your best memories during this past year? What is the most important lesson that you will remember?
Looking back on the past year allows you to fully understand what you liked and want to change. It is an essential step in moving towards an ideal … by taking ownership of your failures and consciously deciding to leave them behind.
The power of depolarization
When we face a situation – whether it turns out to be positive or negative – it will have a very special resonance with us. Therefore, it is important to observe it with objectivity and honesty.
We will call this ‘depolarization’, which is the fact of looking for the advantages and disadvantages of a situation that happens to us regularly, when we interact with those around us or when we meet new people. It is a very powerful tool to move forward and grow in your path.
If it is sometimes difficult to realize the positive points of a situation that has given us a problem and it is a fascinating exercise to carry out that will certainly surprise you.
Work on YOURSELF
When we take a step up, we can have the sensation that certain situations are repeated over months or years. Whether it’s negative emotions, thoughts that dragged you down, old grudges, or issues you haven’t resolved, you feel as if you’re in a cycle you don’t know how to get out of. …
Why is this happening to you? What does life want to teach you by forcing you to face the same difficulties?
Nothing is inevitable, and it is possible to break away from old patterns. To do this, it is important to calmly ask yourself what to put in place so that it never occurs again. How can you make yourself feel better, respect yourself, and truly listen to your needs?
Working on oneself is essential to move forward and bringing positivity into your daily life!
Get out of your comfort zone!
In addition, if you want to move forward, give your life a new impetus, or even change it, getting out of your comfort zone is the first step and can take very different forms.
Whether it’s skydiving, joining a charity, working with a performance coach, starting piano lessons, planning a crazy project, or, why not, integrating an innovative idea that will be synonymous with a new beginning for you … everything is possible when it meets your values and your needs, it may bring you joy when you wake up each morning!
This first step will have to become a habit to anchor this change. Indeed, the brain – just like the body – needs time. It is, therefore, necessary to repeat this new habit for three weeks – or twenty-one days … for it to be automatic. But the most difficult thing is to put this action in place, and stick to it…
Making 2023 rhyme with proactivity!
As the difficulties of the past few years are gradually fading away, it’s time to make room for opportunities or new challenges and let yourself be surprised!
What will you do to be even happier and have a positive impact around you? What would be THE thing you will do to shine, to FINALLY feel in the right place? Everyone can find in themselves what makes them vibrate…
Start with small goals: set yourself regular challenges to achieve by March to be able to accomplish bigger ones at the end of the year. List your dreams and desires without setting aside those that may seem ridiculous or too simple. Every little step counts. It’s all about routine, and progressive gains in confidence, day after day!
The keys to your life and your happiness are at your fingertips, everybody can put in place what they have always wanted! Do not wait any longer! Give yourself the chance to live a fully fulfilled life in harmony with the person you are and your values!
